TET2 and acute myeloid leukemia: Altogether, these data suggest that the restoration of TET2 activity via ascorbate supplementation could provide an opportunity to reverse disease progression in AML cases linked to heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in TET2, pointing out to its role as a potentially non-toxic therapy for TET-associated malignancies (Agathocleous et al., 2017; Cimmino et al., 2017).
