Participants who were Aβ+ had a higher frequency of APOE e4 genotype (62.7% vs. 48.5%, p < 0.001) but a lower frequency of hypertension (39.0% vs. 48.5%, p = 0.003) and diabetes (13.2% vs. 24.4%, p < 0.001) than those who were Aβ−. This evidence concerns the gene APOE and hypertensive disorder.
