This peptide directly interacted with signal transducer and activator of transduction 3 (STAT3) enhancing its phosphorylation at Tyr705, followed by translocation of phosphorylated STAT3 to the nucleus to activate the transcription of the target genes, thereby promoting the proliferation and metastasis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma cells. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
