ULK1 and uterine cervix neoplasm: Because we previously demonstrated that HPV infection increases O-GlcNAcylation levels in cervical neoplasms (10), and ULK1—the initiating kinase for autophagy—has been shown to be O-GlcNAcylated (18), we sought to assess whether the aforementioned phenotype is caused by elevated ULK1 O-GlcNAcylation.
