With regard to human cancer studies, abnormal down-regulation of miR-338-3p has been demonstrated in a variety of human malignancies, such as ovarian, colorectal and cervical cancers [14], and miR-338-3p acts on the SOX5/Wnt/beta-catenin, ADAM17 and ZEB2 proteins to suppress the progression of various cancers. Here, SOX5 is linked to cervical cancer.
