The pairwise comparison shows serum levels of CEA, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-8 in the lung cancer group were significantly higher than those in the control group (4.04 ng/ml vs. 1.86 ng/ml, 32.33 pg/ml vs. 23.43 pg/ml, 0.58 pg/ml vs. 0.28 pg/ml, and 5.22 pg/ml vs. 3.94 pg/ml) (p = 0.000), and the serum IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the benign group were higher than those in the control group (p < 0.01, Table 3 and Figure 2). Here, CEACAM5 is linked to lung carcinoma.
