The biggest differences between the matched tumor-healthy samples were detected in the interleukin and growth factor concentrations: IL-1Ra (p = 0.0006, median 237.8 pg/mL vs 135.1 pg/mL), IL-2Ra (p = 0.0004, median 14.5 pg/mL vs 7.3 pg/mL), IL-16 (p = 0.0006, median 40.7 pg/mL vs 15.6 pg/mL), IL-18 (p = 0.0001, median 2.8 pg/mL vs 1.0 pg/mL) (Fig. 1B); LIF (p = 0.0007, median 38.9 pg/mL vs 15.3 pg/mL) and M-CSF (p = 0.0005, median 4.7 pg/mL vs 2.1 pg/mL) (Fig. 1C). This evidence concerns the gene CSF1 and neoplasm.
