Several studies have shown that the urinary acute kidney injury (AKI) biomarkers such as urinary liver‐type fatty acid‐binding protein (L‐FABP) and kidney injury molecule‐1 (KIM‐1) are increased following exercise (Kosaki et al., 2020; Wołyniec et al., 2018, 2020). The gene discussed is FABP1; the disease is acute kidney injury.
