As reported by Nicholas et al.(Don-Doncow et al., 2017), 95% of 223 metastatic PCa samples were positive staining of p-STAT3 and the bone metastases presented an extremely obvious expression of p-STAT3 compared with lymph nodes or visceral metastases samples, suggesting the crucial role of active STAT3 in promoting the metastasis of PCa. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and posterior cortical atrophy.
