CRP and infection: We then analyzed laboratory parameters indicative of infection, i.e., C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), and leukocytes, in focus-positive versus focus-negative CT scans: CRP showed a minor but statistically significant elevation in the group with focus-positive CT scans (OR = 1.004, 95% CI = 1.000–1.007, p = 0.04).
