Monokine induced by gamma (MIG), or CXCL9, and interferon gamma induced protein 10 (IP-10) or CXCl10 are both chemokines induced by IFN-γ signaling that are important in the recruitment of activated T-cells to sites of infection and act as local inflammation amplification signals through interaction with their receptor CXCR3 (Park et al., 2002; Lacotte et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene CXCR3 and infection.
