Interestingly, the slight increase in PC levels in the T2D group, more pronounced at 24 h and contributing to a significant increase in the PC/PE ratio at this time point (Fig 3K), was associated with an up-regulation of both CEPT1 and CHKA mRNA expression in the T2D group compared to the ND counterpart (Fig 4E).
