EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: ZFB is a novel small molecule used for NSCLC treatment through inhibition of EGFR and characterized by good permeability of the blood–brain barrier (BBB) for (NSCLC) patients with EGFR mutations.8 ZFB can penetrate the BBB and was confirmed to be effective in both clinical and preclinical settings, and showed promising activity in patients with central nervous system (CNS) metastasis as monotherapy.8,9 ZFB is currently at a phase II/III clinical trials.10 Side effects of ZFB was skin and gastrointestinal disorders of occurred in 92% and 76% patients respectively.
