TFPI and cancer: Although the methylation of TFPI has not been proven in HUVECs or other cells, hypermethylation in the promoter region of TFPI-2 has been analyzed in various types of cancers, such as non-small cell lung cancer [60], esophageal carcinogenesis [61], gastric cancer [62], acute myeloid leukemia [63], glioblastomas [64], and cervical cancer [65].
