Not surprisingly, the top pathways that could be associated with this combined set of 138 representative proteins included cancer-enabling signaling (MAPK, PI3K/AKT, ERBB2, VEGF, HIPPO, EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance, stem cell pluripotency) and migration supportive pathways (regulation of actin cytoskeleton, adhesion, ECM-receptor interaction, Rap1) (Fig 2E).
