Schäfer et al. [22] and Hür et al. [23] additionally demonstrated that the immune response in wild boar and domestic pigs is based primarily on increases of CD4−/CD8α+ during infection with moderately virulent ASFV and of CD4+/ CD8α+ (DP) T cells during infection with the highly virulent Armenia08 isolate.
