In the study of Cho et al. [29] on prostate cancer, it was found that that epidermal growth factor promotes prostate cancer cell invasion and metastasis by promoting reactive oxygen species production, which in turn drives STAT3 phosphorylation and regulates the HIF-1α/TWIST1/N-cadherin (N-cadherin) signaling pathway. Here, TWIST1 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
