The immunized mice showed an increase in Derf1-specific IgE in the serum and in the airway allergy response, as shown in Figure 8, including airway allergic clinical symptoms (nasal itch and sneezing), increase in Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13) and allergic mediators (EPX and MCP1) in nasal lavage fluids (NLF) and bronchoalveolar lavage fluids (BALF). The gene discussed is IL5; the disease is allergic respiratory disease.
