CSF1 and fungal infectious disease: One of the major findings of the present study was that amphotericin B liposome, a compound approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of fungal infections, reversed CSDS-induced behavioral abnormalities in mice by mobilizing the innate immune response, which is consistent with some previous findings that stimulation of the innate immune system by a single LPS, M-CSF, or GM-CSF injection reverses chronic stress-induced behavioral abnormalities in mice (Kreisel et al., 2014; Tong et al., 2017; Cai et al., 2020; Ye et al., 2020).
