Multiple inflammatory biomarkers such as interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), CRP, and von Willebrand factor (VWF) antigen have been observed independently and consistently associated with OSA (De Luca Canto et al., 2015; Nowakowski et al., 2018; Hirsch et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
