Our lab demonstrated that stable over-expression of the RFP-fused aggregation-prone ataxin-1 protein [RFP-ATXN1(82Q)] in human medulloblastoma-derived Daoy cells as well as transient over-expression of GFP-fused aggregation-prone ataxin-1 protein [GFP-ATXN1(85Q)] in mouse neuroblastoma neuro2A cells led to TNT formation and subsequent aggregate transfer across TNTs within 72 h (Figure 1; Huang et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene ATXN1 and neuroblastoma.
