The advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI), a novel inflammation and nutrition-based index defined by combining body the mass index (BMI), preoperative serum albumin (ALB) level, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), has been proposed as a prognostic biomarker for various malignant tumors, including lung, esophageal, gastric, and colorectal cancers [9–14].
