FOXJ2 and male infertility: In this study, we showed that overexpression of Foxj2 in the male germline led to male infertility as a result of the reduced meiotic and post-meiotic cells in the adult Stra8-cre; Foxj2tg/tg mouse testes and the abnormality began at postnatal day 10, indicating a failure of spermatogenesis, which started at the initiation of meiosis.
