By application of 482 tissue samples of CRC and three additional CRC cell lines HCT116, Caco2 and SW480, our current study not only further confirmed the findings by Mao et al. and Sikder et al. but also demonstrated a novel regulatory mechanism through which Akt-mTOR signaling mediated the function of SLC6A14 in CRC. This evidence concerns the gene SLC6A14 and colorectal carcinoma.
