Multiple authors reported no Epidermal growth factor receptor, BRAF (59), KRAS (41, 42, 59), or Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) (41, 42) mutations in GCA, suggesting that its molecular pathogenesis is significantly different from that of colorectal adenocarcinoma, although again this was not a unanimous finding (33, 45). This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and temporal arteritis.
