The combination of three HPA axis hormone was used in two other studies (38, 42): Labad et al. collected plasma in the mornings after delivery but found no strong association between scores of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) at 2 month postpartum and CRH level (42), Glynn et al. collected the sample in the afternoon from the 15th to 36th weeks of pregnancy and reported a predictive value of CRH concentration at mid gestation for postpartum depression at 3 month (38). Here, CRH is linked to depressive symptom measurement.
