This massive activation of TGF‐β1 facilitates tumor cell proliferation and migration.[38] TGF‐β1 has a regulatory effect on immune cells[39] and can activate many tumor‐related signaling pathways, such as the mitogen‐activated protein kinase and PI3K/Akt pathways.[40, 41] The tumor‐promoting effects of TGF‐β1, including effector lymphocyte regulation and angiogenesis, have brought more obstacles to tumor therapy.[42, 43] Our bioinformatics analysis found a strong correlation between FBN1 and the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in GC. This evidence concerns the gene FBN1 and gastric cancer.
