In cervical cancers, editing events by ADAR1 alter the genetically coded amino acid in BLCAP YXXQ motif, inducing BLCAP to lose the inhibition to signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) activation, which drives the carcinogenesis progression (Chen W et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and cervical carcinoma.
