Recently, we found a significant increase in the expression of sEH and COX-2 proteins in the liver of NAFLD mice, manifesting as abnormal ARA metabolism [16], while a dual inhibitor of sEH/COX-2, PTUPB, could reduce lipid droplet accumulation and inflammatory response in the liver and hepatocytes of NAFLD mice [16]. Here, EPHX2 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
