The serum OT level at 90 days of age was significantly lower in the PCOS group than in the Control group (Student’s t-test: p < 0.05; df = 14, t = 2.39), whereas the hypothalamic mRNA levels of OT, OTR, NPY, AgRP, POMC and pporexin, and the level of OTR in visceral fat did not differ between the PCOS and Control groups (Figure 3). The gene discussed is OXTR; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
