A range of leukaemias express P2RX7 mRNA, and higher positive rates and relative expression levels have been found in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, chronic myeloid leukaemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome patients compared to normal donor bone marrow mononuclear cells [132]. This evidence concerns the gene P2RX7 and acute myeloid leukemia.
