To investigate the molecular features of CSCs characterized by normoxic phenotypes, CRC cell lines, including LoVo and SW480, and a patient-derived xenograft (XhCRC) were first transfected with an HRE reporter, and further incubated with an anti-CD133 antibody to sort the CD133+GFP− from other subpopulations of tumor cells using flow cytometry. The gene discussed is PROM1; the disease is neoplasm.
