In gliomas, the persistence of secreted IFN-β around gliomas after transplantation of MSCs infected with lentiviral overexpression of IFN-β and ferritin heavy chain (FTH) led to a significant infiltration of Batf3 + DCs and CD8 + T cells in gliomas and was able to effectively treat malignant gliomas [607]. This evidence concerns the gene IFNB1 and central nervous system cancer.
