Considering our previous findings on the role of Gal-3 in AD progression and the interaction between Gal-3 and TREM-2, we: (i) further explored Gal-3 expression in AD brain and (ii) explored whether CSF Gal-3 levels correlate with levels of Aβ, inflammatory markers, including TREM-2, and neurodegenerative biomarkers in CSF in AD. This evidence concerns the gene LGALS3 and Alzheimer disease.
