Genes and the genetic polymorphism of genes involved in metalloestrogen homeostasis (i.e., glutathione S-transferase P1 gene (GSTP1) and metal ions transport (i.e., the Solute Carrier 11 group A member 2 gene (SLC11A2) may be closely related to estrogen overstimulation and therefore serve as a potential risk factor of endometrial cancer. Here, GSTP1 is linked to endometrial cancer.
