Our results demonstrate that M2BPGi levels are correlated with platelets (p < 0.0001), albumin (p < 0.0001), PT (p < 0.05), ALT (p < 0.0001), and age (p < 0.0001) (data not shown), as shown in previous studies [31,35], suggesting that the elevation of M2BPGi might be caused by the development of focal liver fibrosis within and surrounding the hemangiomas.
