Among the 276 genes that were more abundant (>5 log2-fold absolute value change at the p-adj < 0.01 level of significance) prior to norovirus-associated AGE than during infection were genes involved in the cleavage and transfer of sugar groups (for example, fucosidase, fucosyltransferase, fucose synthase, and fucose mutarotase) (Table S6).
