Recent study on immune-modifying therapies in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases showed that there was no evidence of increased COVID-19-related death in adults treated with tumour necrosis factor inhibitors, interleukin (IL)-12/IL-23 inhibitors, IL-17 inhibitors, IL-6 inhibitors, or Janus kinase inhibitors when compared with those on standard systemic therapy [91]. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and COVID-19.
