Values of this parameter (both before and after supplementation) were lower than results from another study conducted in patients with newly diagnosed and previously untreated HT in Poland [39], in which the level of CRP ranged from 8.0–8.8 mg/L, and after 6 months of selenium supplementation, decreased significantly to 4.4 ± 0.7 mg/L.
