In line with these results, we observed that Cu/Zn-SOD (Sod1), Mn-SOD (Sod2) and catalase (Cat)—all known antioxidant enzymes, some of which are reduced in aging sarcopenia [40]—were also up-regulated in Ranolazine-treated mice compared to control mice (Figure 5A). This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and sarcopenia.
