Among the other eight cancers, two were diagnosed during a bleeding complication (one glioblastoma responsible for neurological focal deficit during the first week following VTE, and one gastric cancer revealed by melena occurring 3 months after the index event), one pancreatic cancer was diagnosed after an episode of ascites infection, two skin cancers were diagnosed on the presence of suspicious skin lesions and, finally, three hematologic malignancies were diagnosed directly through the JAK2 mutation. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and pancreatic neoplasm.
