We found a statistically significant difference between study groups: TNF-α serum levels were lower in patients with exudative AMD than in the control group (mean ± standard deviation (SD): 16.182 pg/mL ± 6.094 vs. 30.652 pg/mL ± 6.322; p < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and age-related macular degeneration.
