Additionally, Smith and colleagues reported mild locomotor hyperactivity and altered anxiety-like behaviour in GAD67+/− mice [172], which could be a result of imbalanced E/I due to impaired cortical GABAergic transmission, resembling attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that often presents with Tourette syndrome [173,174,175].
