Among the 54 putative target genes, high expression of nine genes (DDIT4, FOXD1, FXR1, FZD2, HMGB3, MINPP1, PAWR, PFN2, and RTN4R) showed statistically significant correlations with the 5-year overall survival frequencies of patients with HNSCC (p < 0.05; Figure 6 and Figure 7). The gene discussed is RTN4R; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
