No studies on sciellin in endometrial cancer exist, so we examined its expression by means of GEPIA2 online analysis (http://gepia.cancer-pku.cn/detail.php?gene=scel), showing a 6.5- fold increased SCEL expression in endometrial cancer compared to normal tissue and a decreased overall survival of endometrial cancer patients with higher SCEL expression (HR 2.1, p = 0.049) [29]. Here, SCEL is linked to endometrial cancer.
