Aiming to explore the clinical significance of iNKT cells effects on macrophage polarization, we analyzed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) expression data to determine the correlation between iNKT cells gene signature (TRAV10 and TRBV25-1, coding for iNKT prototypical TCR α- and β-chains) and both M1- (CD40, HLA-DRA, CD80 and CD86) and M2-like macrophages (CD206 and CD163) gene signatures, in a cohort of colon adenocarcinoma and paired adjacent normal tissue. This evidence concerns the gene CD86 and colon adenocarcinoma.
