SOX9 and pancreatic neoplasm: In summary, despite the fact that our research was not aimed at describing the full scope of molecular and physiological changes in various pancreatic cancer lines with downregulated SOX9, the acquired results allow us to draw the following important conclusions: First, the transcription factor SOX9 executes multilevel control over important intracellular processes, which involve the maintenance of cell differentiation, the regulation of cell division, and apoptosis.
