The SMYD2 gene resides in 1q32–q41, a chromosomal region mostly amplified in esophageal and renal cell carcinoma, gastric, colon, pancreatic, lung, bladder, TNBC, and PC [10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22]. The gene discussed is SMYD2; the disease is pachyonychia congenita.
