Although Neto1 was not previously described in glioma, KARs have been implicated in epilepsy and other neuropsychiatric conditions [66,67]; moreover, the high expression of Neto1 was associated with metastatic ovarian carcinomas, in which it increases the migration and invasion capability of cancer cells, modulating actin cytoskeletal dynamics [68]. This evidence concerns the gene NETO1 and central nervous system cancer.
