Venetoclax also synergizes well with a wide range of other antileukemic agents currently in development for AML, such as vosaroxin (a second-generation topoisomerase II inhibitor and DNA intercalating agent) [158], fimepinostat (a dual inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinases (PI3K) and histone deacetylases (HDACs)) [159], selinexor (an exportin 1 (XPO1) inhibitor) [160], and SLC-391 (a highly selective inhibitor of tyrosine-protein kinase receptor UFO; AXL) [161]. Here, XPO1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
